Color masterbatch compounding is one of the main applications for twin screw extruders. Color masterbatch is used for any polymer and all kinds of products.

Applications

The color masterbatch is composed of three basic elements: pigment or dye, carrier and additive. It is an aggregate made by super-constant pigment uniformly attached to the resin, which can be called pigment concentration. So its tinting strength is higher than the pigment itself. Mixing up a small amount of color masterbatch and uncolored resin during processing, the colored resin or product with the designed pigment concentration can be achieved.
